THE HOUSE is started!

I can't believe it. Our builder started work today. He has been building the boxing for the foundation. The photo above makes the section of land look quite small, but it is almost 800m2. Mr B and I are going to visit on Saturday so he can show me the progress.

I should be mega happy, but I had a day off school today because I have a bit of a cold, and I am soooo tired. I slept all morning. Very hard to keep my positive frame of mind when I am feeling crappy. I managed to work on a cushion. I made it out of two horrible skirts, one linen and the other a wool-angora blend, that I got from the second hand clothes shop. Will post photos once I have stuffed it.

Friday tomorrow! Thank goodness. XXX

Yay for the hosue being started...that is great. It will be very exciting getting progress reports over the next few months!!
No exciting news from here, our car is still broken, spare part still not here and possibly won't work...we have borrowed Nanny's car.
Ryan got me "Under the Mountain" for a pressy, we have watched half of it, it is great...the acting and fashion is very special!!
I got a pattern for a simple top the other day...cut it all out then looked at the instructions and I don't even understand Step 1..and there are 16 steps...it is one of those "It's so easy" patterns...how can I be such a dummy with patterns when I would consider myself pretty bright??!!
Thanks goodness it is Friday tomorrow...it has been an arduous week!!
Love to you bothxx

Hi Poppy Black...sorry to have been away so long but I'm just now beginning to catch up on blogland after my yardsale.

It is so great that your builder is starting your house. I'm sorry that you have not been feeling well and that has taken the joy out of your day but I'm sure once your on your feet, the excitment will set in. I'm very happy for you!

Will look forward to updates from time to time.

How exciting. I love old houses, but I think it would be wonderful to have a brand new house to make memories in. Hope you are feeling better.
