A Star Turn
The gentle receding sea
has swirled a starfish
leaving it lying
on a pristine sand stage
like
a spun Catherine wheel
frozen in time.
The unseen hand
has carefully placed
two small shells
on top.
This little tableau
is stunning
in its simplicity
a magic moment
captured
in the flotsam and jetsam
of our existence.
